BIOGRAPHY:
NOMINON was formed in January 1993 by Juha Sulasalmi and Peter Nilsson. As a duo they released two demos; Daemon I and II - both in 1993. The music they played back then was a mix of Death Metal and Black Metal, and the demos were spread only in the Swedish underground. In the fall of 1995 NOMINON became a whole band with the following line-up: Vocals - N. Holstenson, Guitar - J. Mattsson, Guitar - C. Cederborg, Bass - T. Hellman, Drums - J. Sulasalmi.

NOMINON played their debut gig in February 1996 with DISMEMBER, DISSECTION and VERMIN. The same year they released a demo called "My Flesh". Cederborg got fired and Sulasalmi took over the guitar duties and they got Emil Dragutinovic as their new drummer. The band also recorded a new demo called "Demo II '96".

During 1997 they played a few gigs and in August they recorded a promo tape, simply called "Promo '97". After the recording they kicked out Tobbe and David Svartz replaced him.

Two months before the recording of their first album in 1998, bassist Lenny Blade, from the Thrash Metal act INCINERATOR (which also includes Jonas Mattsson on guitar), replaced David who was sacked out from the band. In October the same year NOMINON entered Studio Sunlight to record their debut album "Diabolical Bloodshed". After the recording NOMINON did a couple of gigs in Germany.
The debut CD "Diabolical Bloodshed" was released via X-TREME RECORDS on the 15th of November 1999. After the release NOMINON played some festivals and started negotiations about a suitable deal with a major death/grind label.

After lack of interest in the band, drummer E. Dragutinovic and NOMINON parted ways during 2001. He was replaced by Perra Karlsson, an old world drummer and a friend in the Swedish metal scene.

Further line-up problems followed nine months later when longtime vocalist; Nicke Holstensson was released from his duties due to lack of interest. Later in the year three tracks were recorded by the band them self for a 7" EP.
The 3-track Cassette EP "Blaspheming The Dead" was released during 2003 via Nuclear Winter Rds as the 7" EP is delayed due to a incompetent printing factory in Italy. Five tracks are also recorded during the summer 2003 for a MCD/MLP 12"-release.

In early 2004 the "The True Face Of Death" MCD/MLP is released. In April NOMINON supported MASTER on four dates in Sweden. A CD with the three first NOMINON demos is also released by Northern Silence Prod. (Germany). In May the band is reduced to half the force when Lenny Blade and Jonas Mattsson decide to leave. A month later bassist Joel Andersson joined NOMINON and Juha took over the vocal duties for a while, but not for too long as Daniel Garptoft completed ! the line-up in early August. During September/October NOMINON did their first ever european tour together with the legendary U.K. death pioneers BENEDICTION as well as landmates GODHATE. NOMINON also signed a one album deal with Singapore label KONQUEROR RECORDS.

NOMINON start the year 2005 with working on the second album, as well as auditioning a second guitar player for a more brutal live sound. That guitar player was found the early January in Christian Strömblad. In late January the guys recorded their second album "Recremation" at Necromorbus Studio with engin! eer/producer Tore Stjerna. During March the super delayed 7" EP "Blasp heming The Dead" was finally released by the Greek label Nuclear Winter Rds. The album "Recremation" was released on CD by Konqueror Rds in late April 2005 and in May on 12" LP by Blood Harvest Rds. In May NOMINON also played at the cult festival Fuck The Commerce in Luckau, Germany. After the summer NOMINON played their first mini-tour of Finland as well as went out on a European tour with the American legends! VITAL REMAINS. This tour was the most successfull route so far for the gruesome fivesome on all levels.

During January and February 2006 the band gather just to work on new material. Intense rehearsals took place and songs was written and arranged by more or less the whole band. NOMINON also present their first promo video during February, in form of the track "Hordes Of Flies". The video was directed by D.Garptoft/Insane Pictures. Special introduction guest on the clip comes from Dave Suzuki (VITAL REMAINS). During the summer the "Recremation" album was released via license in the USA by Necrohamonic Prod/Deathgasm Records. In late September the same year bassist Joel Andersson decided to leave the band, a couple of weeks later bassist Anders Malmström joined NOMINON. The band signed a deal for a collection CD/LP of hard-to-get tracks during the autumn with Agonia Rds (vinyl) and PULVERISED RECORDS (CD), this release is known as “Remnants Of A Diabolical History”. This release feature covers, unreleased demos and re-recorded older songs.
